Game Designer & Programmer
I design and build games that blur the line between chaos and skill. Specializing in local multiplayer mechanics, trap systems, and Unity 3D — crafting experiences where every match tells a story.
I'm Miguel Cardenas, a game designer and programmer with a passion for competitive local multiplayer experiences. My work focuses on creating tight, readable mechanics that feel instantly fun but reward mastery over time.
My approach to game design centers on emergent gameplay — placing players in systems that generate unpredictable, memorable moments. Whether designing trap-laden arenas or fine-tuning character feel, I care deeply about how a game feels to play.
I work primarily in Unity Engine, handling the full pipeline from level design and gameplay systems to UI implementation and player feedback.
3D Local Multiplayer Arena
A fast-paced couch party game where you teleport your opponent directly into deadly traps. Designed for two players — one on keyboard, one on controller — Warp Cube turns positioning into a weapon. Every decision carries risk; every teleport could be a kill or a blunder.
Whether you're looking for a game designer for your next project, want to collaborate, or just want to talk shop — reach out. I'm always open to new challenges.
